This policy explains what Basis collects and why. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Email address — only if you sign up for the newsletter or a free download. Used to send lessons and updates. Unsubscribe anytime.
- Usage analytics — anonymous data about which pages are visited (via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) so we can improve the course.
- Local progress — your practice progress is stored in your own browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.
- Payment data — if you buy a membership, payment is handled by our processor (e.g. Stripe / Gumroad / Patreon). We never see or store your card number.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads that track you across the web.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies for analytics. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, or delete the data we hold about you (mainly your email). Email hello@basis.example.com and we will respond promptly. If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), these rights apply to you.
Third-party services
We rely on: YouTube (video hosting), Google Analytics & Microsoft Clarity (analytics), our email provider, and our payment processor. Each has its own privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
This is a plain-language starting template, not legal advice. Have a professional review it before you collect payments or operate at scale.
